Today and tomorrow, Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, will be in Ankara, Turkey. The Commissioner will co-chair the first EU-Turkey High-Level dialogue on Migration and Security with Minister of Interior, Süleyman Soylu.

Today is a very important day. Our leaders will not only confirm but also make it very clear that we are committed to the full integration and membership of the Western Balkan within the European Union.

The EU-Western Balkans summit took place in Brdo pri Kranju, Slovenia, on 6 October 2021. EU leaders agreed on the Brdo declaration, with which the Western Balkans partners have aligned themselves.

On 06 October, EU and Western Balkans leaders will hold a Summit in Brdo pri Kranju, hosted by the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and chaired by President of the European Council Charles Michel.

Thank you very much for receiving me here. What a special moment to launch the start of the works to modernise the Niš to Brestovac section of the Rail Corridor 10. We have seen it in the film, the video.

Today, the European Union has disbursed a grant of €36.4 million for the Republic of Moldova to continue supporting country's fight against COVID-19 and police reform.

Ahead of the EU-Western Balkans Summit on 6 October, President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will be in the Western Balkans between Tuesday and Thursday, to visit Albania, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
