
Alexandru Munteanu (born 20 January 1964 in Chișinău) is a Moldovan economist, academic, and business executive who has served as Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova since 1 November 2025. He holds a degree in Physics from Moscow State University and a Master’s in Economic Policy Management from Columbia University in New York. Before entering government, he worked at the National Bank of Moldova, the World Bank in Washington, D.C., and in international finance, including as founder of 4i Capital Partners. He also co-founded the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova and has served for over two decades as President of the Alliance Française de Moldavie.
