Today, Dimitris Avramopoulos, Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship is in Istanbul, Turkey. Commissioner Avramopoulos will meet President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Minister of the Interior Süleyman Soylu. Discussions will focus on the implementation of the EU-Turkey statement and on cooperation on migration, borders and security.
