
Tomorrow Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, will be in Warsaw, Poland. The Commissioner will meet with Mariusz Kamiński, Minister of the Interior and Administration as well as Hanna Machińska, Deputy Commissioner for Human Rights. The Commissioner will also meet with representatives of UNHCR, IOM, and the Council of Europe Office in Warsaw as well as representatives of Polish NGOs specialised in human rights and migration issues. The Commissioner will also visit the reception centre in Lesznowola. Discussions will focus on the current situation at the border with Belarus, EU financial support and cooperation with agencies and recent Commission proposals in the areas of asylum and border management, as well as preparedness for various scenarios concerning the situation in Ukraine.
