On Saturday, Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, will visit Novi Sad to open the Žeželj bridge together with Aleksandar Vučić, President of Serbia. The bridge is a crucial link of the Trans-European network that will enable improved navigation along the Danube, restore road and rail traffic and bring new dynamism to regional cooperation. The support to the project illustrates the European Union's commitment to the Connectivity Agenda, which aims to develop transport, energy and digital links within the Western Balkans and with the EU. Commissioner Hahn will deliver a speech at the opening of the bridge, which along with pictures and videos of the event will be available via EbS.
