On 10 April 2025, on the occasion of the EU-Ukraine Business Summit in Brussels, we reaffirmed our commitment to Ukraine's future in the European Union.

At the ADRIA Summit 2025 in Montenegro, today the European Union announced a Call for Expressions of Interest to mobilise private investments in the Western Balkans aiming to support the region's economic growth and integration into the EU Single Market.

Today the European Union is taking a series of steps to further bolster its support for Ukraine.

Finance contracts have been signed for three new public sector projects worth €300 million under the European Union’s Ukraine Facility. Today’s signing follows the guarantee agreement approved just a month ago with the European Commission unlocking €2 billion of EIB investments for Ukraine.

Today, Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, participated in the 10th EU-Ukraine Association Council meeting where she represented the European Commission.

Ahead of International Roma Day on 8 April, Executive Vice-President for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness Roxana Mînzatu, Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, and Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos issued the following statement:

Today, Commissioner for Economy and Productivity, Implementation and Simplification Valdis Dombrovskis and Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos met Türkiye's Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek in Brussels for a High-Level Economic Dialogue (HLED) between the European Union and Türkiye.

Thousands of young people will soon have the chance to explore Europe for free with DiscoverEU. The European Commission has opened applications for a new DiscoverEU round, making nearly 36,000 travel passes available to 18-year-olds across Europe.

The new legislation, including Foreign Agents Registration Act and Law on Broadcasting, adopted by the parliament, without due public consultations, give additional tools to the Georgian authorities to supress dissent and tighten the policy of repression.

The Ukraine Donor Platform’s Steering Committee held its thirteenth meeting today, gathering for the second time in person in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv. The meeting brought together senior representatives of Platform members, observers, as well as International Financial Institutions.
